Floor Acrobatics

In this session the senior coaching team from Melbourne Gymnastics Centre will go through the fundamental biomechanics and methodology for all floor acrobatic elements covered under the FIG 1 matrix. Focusing on roundoffs, accelerating backwards (Back handsprings, backward whips), accelerating forwards (front layouts and front handsprings), and saltos (forwards and backwards, tucked, piked, and stretched)The aim of the workshop is to provide exposure to the FIG style of presenting, that coaches will experience should they chose to participate in a FIG course.

This workshop is open to coaches who are advanced qualified, wanting to gain exposure to FIG presentations prior to completing the FIG 1 course and coaches who are intermediate qualified who would like to learn more to gain an advanced or FIG 1 qualification.
