Beginner Judges

Becoming a Beginner Judge

 

  1. Complete the FREE online 'Community Officiating General Principles' course, co-ordinated by the Australian Sports Commission - follow the link here to access

  2. Print off the certificate from 'My Learning Transcript' to bring with you to the Judging Course.

  3. Enrol into a Beginner Judging Course. Please click on the 'Calendar' below to see available courses.

  4. Obtain a copy of the relevant Gymsport ALP/NLP manual to bring with you to the course. All candidates are required to bring a copy of the Australian Level Program/National Levels Program relevent to their Gymsport; please speak with your club to obtain a copy.

  5. If passed, candidates will receive a congratulations letter and a Technical Member application form within a few weeks of the course. 

 

Candidates will need to send the Technical Member application form to Gymnastics Australia with nominated payment within 3 months of receipt in order to become a registered judge and be able to judge at competitions.

 

An individual must be 14 years or older to enrol into a Beginner Judges Course.

Enrolling in a Judging Course

 

The minimum age to become a Beginner Judge is 14, please note that all candidates enrolling in a Beginner Judges course MUST complete the 'Community Officiating General Principles'  before attending the course. Please click here to access.

Once you have enrolled in a course you will receive a confirmation email with the course dates and times as well as all other relevant information.
