About the event

ABOUT HEALTHY SPORTS CLUBS

Healthy Sports Clubs is a free initiative delivered by qualified Health Promotors and backed by local Councils. It provides community sports clubs with one-on-one, tailored support to make health and wellbeing changes across nine different health areas.

Plus, the initiative is aligned with other health and wellbeing frameworks and policies, such as the Fair Access Policy principles and Good Sports.

WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND

· Gain insights into how the Healthy Sports Clubs initiative can help you promote health and wellbeing practices within your affiliated clubs, enhancing their overall performance and community engagement.

· Learn about the one-on-one, tailored support provided by qualified Health Promotors, which can assist your affiliated clubs in implementing health and wellbeing changes across nine different health areas.

· Understand how the initiative aligns with existing health and wellbeing frameworks and policies, such as the Fair Access Policy principles and Good Sports, ensuring that your affiliated clubs are compliant with the latest standards and best practices.

· Connect with Community Health Services and local councils as an opportunity to form partnerships and collaborative efforts that can amplify the reach and effectiveness of health and wellbeing initiatives.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Representatives of State Sporting Associations, Regional Sporting Assemblies, local associations, local leagues, and elite sporting teams in Victoria are invited to attend this session.

We encourage you to share this invitation with your networks, especially any colleagues who work in the LGAs where Healthy Sports Clubs is currently available:

· City of Glen Eira

· City of Greater Dandenong

· City of Kingston

· City of Merri-bek

· City of Stonnington

· Mildura Rural City Council

The initiative is expanding and will be available in more Victorian LGAs soon.
