April Wilson

April began her gymnastics journey as a gymnast at Jets Gymnastics Eltham at 9 years old (2001) and as a volunteer coach at Jets Gymnastics Eltham at 14 years old (2005). She is now accredited as an advanced WAG coach and intermediate Kinder Gym coach. She is currently the Programs Coordinator at Balwyn Gymnastics Club and has just coordinated Balwyn’s move to a new state of the art facility at the Boroondara Sports Complex.

April brings with her a wealth of knowledge from her experience coaching gymnasts from many different backgrounds, ages, ability and special needs.

Sue Westaway

Sue began gymnastics at the age of 7 , competed through to National  Level 10 and retired her gymnastics career to transition across to Tumbling. Sue represented  Australia in Tumbling and medaled at World Championship in 1978. Sue has coached Kindergym for 28 years, and presented Kindergym coaches courses and workshops and regional congresses for around 20 years. Sue has also worked with OT's and Physiotherapist to gain a better understanding how to get the best from children with challenges. This accumulation of knowledge aided her in being able to assist her mother when recovering from a stroke and work with others within the nursing home facility. Sue holds an Advanced Kindergym accredition, is part of the State Presenter and Accessor team and has been very active promoting the positive attributes of Gymnastics to the wider community. "Move for Life " is the logical next step for our ageing community to reconnect and reinvigorate.
